SSL or “Secure Sockets Layer” is a security protocol that ensures data passed between a web browser and a website is private. If you have ever noticed the “s” in https in the first part of a website address, this means your connection to a website is secure, and any data that passes between the two is encrypted.

Always keep in mind to check for the “s” and padlock icon in the address bar when providing personal information to a website. This will help to prevent your personal and company data from ending up in the wrong hands.
