Cybersecurity Myths

One of the biggest Cybersecurity myths is that breaches are caused by external actors. According to the Verizon 2020 Data Breach Investigations Report, 30% of all cybersecurity “incidents” are perpetrated by insiders. Not all of these attacks are malicious as some cases are just human error.

It is so important to make sure that your employees are trained regularly and made aware of cybersecurity best practices. Not all breaches can be stopped by antivirus software. It is everyone’s responsibility to keep your organization’s data safe.

One way to test your organization’s awareness is to utilize NET X Phishing, a simulated phishing attack on your organization. This simulation will show you who in the organization is susceptible and will provide a pass/fail for each email address and training for those who fail. Additional benefits to an organization can be gained from an audit or compliance perspective as well.
